Ukrainian national guard fighters repel Russia's largest assault on Siversk direction (video)
Ukrainian National Guard forces have repelled Russia’s largest assault on the Siversk direction, where Russians advanced with tanks, with the support of armored vehicles and infantry troops, the official page of the National Guard of Ukraine on Telegram informs.
"This was one of the largest and most difficult assaults, which was repelled by the fighters of the 3rd Operational Battalion "Svoboda" of the "Rubizh" Brigade," the report says.
According to the Ukrainian military, Russian forces launched a coordinated attack with tanks, armored vehicles, and infantry, advancing simultaneously along the line of engagement on the Siversk direction.
"However, the enemy failed to break through. Battalion soldiers destroyed the enemy's armored vehicles without surrendering a single position. The occupiers suffered heavy losses," the National Guard stated.
Frontline updates
On November 12, Ukrainian forces repelled a Russian attack near Verkhnokamianskoho on the Siversk direction.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces launched the highest number of attacks on the Kurakhove direction, accounting for 47 of the total 162 combat clashes that took place along the entire frontline. This is twice the number of enemy assaults on the Pokrovsk direction.
As previously reported, Russian forces have concentrated their efforts on one of the frontline directions. And even though this indicates a lack of resources, Russia does not deviate from its "basic" goals.
