The raid of Russian volunteers into Russian territory is advantageous for Ukraine. Such actions divert the enemy's attention on the front lines, according to the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kyrylo Budanov.

"When the situation changes more on the front line, it will be easier for them to advance further and achieve their goal," he said.

As Budanov explained, when the occupying forces start retreating on the front line, Russian volunteer units will do their job.

"For us at the moment, it is very advantageous that they were able to stretch out the formations, divert forces on the front to defend their (Russian) border lines," the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate noted.

According to Budanov, currently Russian volunteer units will not be able to reach Moscow armed.

Russian volunteers' raid

The Russian Volunteer Corps together with two other units breached the border with Russia on March 12 and took control of several settlements, including those in the Belgorod and Kursk regions.

In addition, Russian volunteers targeted Belgorod. They stated that they would target Russian military positions, so civilians were urged to evacuate.

As the Russian volunteers themselves stated, the ultimate goal of the operations is to eliminate the Putin regime in Russia.
