Russian forces disguised themselves as civilians in Yampil, Donetsk region, attempting to operate behind Ukrainian lines. They were neutralized, according to the 11th Army Corps.

Ukrainian military reported that Russian forces once again committed a gross violation of international humanitarian law.

"Russian forces, wearing civilian clothes and disguising themselves as residents, attempted to infiltrate the town of Yampil and carry out sabotage operations behind the lines of the defense forces," the statement said.

According to the report, some Russian groups hid in private houses, basements, and other buildings, using civilians as human shields.

Units of the 11th Army Corps conducted a counter-terrorism operation, during which Russian forces were detected, blocked, and neutralized.

The military stressed that Yampil and the surrounding area remain fully under the control of Ukrainian forces. Russian forces achieved no tactical success, and all attempts to conduct sabotage and reconnaissance in the town were thwarted.

"Russian forces continue to look for ways to infiltrate in small groups, exploiting natural terrain and civilian infrastructure. Monitoring of the situation continues, and countermeasures are being strengthened," the statement added.
