Ukrainian forces clear Pokrovsk and six settlements near Dobropillia

The Defense Forces of Ukraine cleared six settlements near Dobropillia in the Donetsk region. Pokrovsk city was also cleared of Russian invaders, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
From August 4 to 16, as a result of joint actions of units and subdivisions of the National Guard and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which are part of the 1st Corps of the NGU Azov, in the Donetsk region, settlements were cleared: Hruzke, Rubizhne, Novovodiane, Petrivka, Vesele, Zolotyi Kolodiaz.

In the operational zone, the enemy suffered significant losses in manpower. As of August 16, they amounted to:

irrecoverable – 910 people,

sanitary – 335 people,

captivity – 37 people.
Also, the enemy lost much equipment and weaponry. Eight tanks of Russian troops, six armored combat vehicles, 103 units of auto and motor vehicles, one MLRS, 18 guns, and 91 UAVs of various types were destroyed and damaged.
The General Staff noted that stabilization actions in the direction of the city of Dobropillia are continuing.
Subdivisions of the 19th Army Corps, which are operating in Donetsk region, only in the last day captured six Russian servicemen.
Also, this week, by the forces of the 7th Corps of Air Assault Troops and adjacent units, the Pokrovsk city was cleared of Russian enemy groups.
Battles for Dobropillia
This week, on August 11, the analytical project DeepState reported that Russian troops advanced in the area of Dobropillia in the Donetsk region. According to analysts, the Russian troops approached the settlements of Kucheriiv Yar, Zolotyi Kolodiaz, and Vesele.
In the operational-strategic group Dnipro, they confirmed: in this direction, the enemy uses numerical advantage and tries to advance in small groups past the first line of defense.
Ukrainian military confirmed that the Russian forces captured two settlements in the Donetsk region.
However, in recent days, the situation has partially stabilized – Ukrainian defenders managed to restore a number of positions. At the same time, according to ISW, Russians are trying to break through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the help of drones.
