Ukrainian soldiers captured two Russians in the Pokrovsk direction. Both occupiers are residents of the Tomsk region, the press service of the National Guard of Ukraine reports.

In particular, soldiers from the Spartan Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine captured two Russian occupiers in the Pokrovsk direction.

Both prisoners are residents of the Tomsk region, who have been serving in the 15th International Brigade of the Russian troops, known since 2014 as "Piatnashka," for the past six months.

One of the prisoners, according to the Ukrainian military, has been already imprisoned five times. The other admits that he signed a contract for service to avoid criminal punishment.

Captured Russian soldiers shared that during a mission, both were injured and had to hide in forest belts and settlements, as they were threatened with execution if they returned.

Due to a lack of food, they were forced to eat animal feed or food they found left by Ukrainian troops.

Earlier, Ukrainian fighters of the special operations forces captured dozens of Russian marines in the Kursk region. In particular, the soldiers of the 810th Naval Infantry Brigade of the Russian army were captured while the aggressor country was celebrating Marine Corps Day.

Furthermore, Ukrainian soldiers of the 8th Regiment of the Special Operations Forces conducted a raid on Russian positions in the Kursk region. During that operation, 10 occupiers were eliminated, and three others were captured.
