Ukrainian defense forces destroyed 9 enemy Shahed drones at night
Russia launched 12 Shahed-136/131 combat UAVs against Ukraine overnight on March 30. Air defense forces destroyed 9 enemy drones, according to the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Air Force.
As noted, during the night of March 30, 2024, the enemy launched four anti-aircraft-guided missiles S-300/S-400 and drones from Cape Chauda, Crimea, targeting the Donetsk region.
Air defense forces shot down 9 out of 12 enemy drones. Mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces from the Kherson, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, and Poltava regions were involved in repelling the attack.
Russian night attack
During the night of March 30, amidst an air raid alert, the enemy began attacking Odesa and its vicinity with strike drones, with air defense systems operating in the region. Around 02:04, the Air Force reported UAVs heading towards the Odesa region, specifically to the Tatarbunar district.
Natalia Humeniuk, spokeswoman for the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, recounted the night attack and noted that "there were no hits in the Odesa region, however, fragments of the downed drone fell on the territory of an elevator in the Dnipropetrovsk region."
