Ukrainian Armed Forces on action plan if Russia cuts main logistics route in Avdiivka
Despite ongoing street battles in Avdiivka, Donetsk region, Ukrainian military have ensured alternative supply routes to the city in case the main logistical artery is cut off by the enemy, according to spokesperson of the Tavria operational-strategic group Dmytro Lykhovii.
Brigadier General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, commander of the Tavria operational-strategic group, emphasized the dynamic nature of the situation on the front line, with Ukrainian forces exerting maximum effort to maintain their positions.
"The situation on the front line is dynamic and can change literally every hour. Our troops are making every possible effort to hold certain positions. In case the main logistical artery is cut off by the enemy, our command has prepared alternative supply routes," Lykhovii explained.
Avdiivka
The situation in Avdiivka has seen several days of street battles, necessitating tactical adjustments, though it remains "dynamic, tense, but under control," according to the spokesperson.
"The enemy intermittently deploys armored groups on some days and small assault groups on others. For instance, yesterday, on one of the stretches along the Avdiivka direction, the enemy employed small infantry assault groups from 5-6 brigades. This indicates the intensity of the fighting," he added.
Lykhoviy said that Russia has concentrated around 50,000 personnel in the Avdiivka direction.
