Ukraine's Minister of Defense names key issue after Riyadh talks

Ukrainian and American delegations concluded talks in Saudi Arabia. The discussions were constructive, according to the statement of Ukraine's Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov.
"The conversation was constructive and meaningful—we discussed key issues, particularly in the energy sector," the message states.
Umerov noted that the task of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is to achieve a just and lasting peace for our country, its people, and ultimately all of Europe.
"We are working to make this a reality," he concluded.
It should be noted that before the meeting, Umerov mentioned that proposals for the security of energy and infrastructure facilities were on the negotiation table.
Key topics to discuss
The New York Times reported that negotiations in Saudi Arabia would last for two days - today and tomorrow. In particular, today's meeting with Ukraine has already taken place, but additional dialogues are possible tomorrow. There will also be a conversation between Washington and Moscow tomorrow.
The goal of these negotiations is to agree on the details of a potential partial ceasefire (regarding energy and shipping in the Black Sea), which could eventually lead to a full cessation of hostilities.
Bloomberg also reported that Trump wants to sign a ceasefire agreement between Russia and Ukraine by April 20. At the same time, Washington acknowledges that the timeline may shift.
