Ukraine's forces intensify offencive actions near Bakhmut
Ukrainian Armed Forces proceed on dislodging Russian troops from their positions at the Bakhmut front, making progress on the flanks, as DeepState reports.
"The defense forces could expand their success near the Berkhivsky reservoir. Thanks to the 3rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, the enemy was dislodged from a large section of the front bordering the Seversky Donets-Donbas channel," the report states.
According to analysts, fierce fighting also goes on near Orikhovo-Vasylivka and Berkhivka.
Heavy battles are not only taking place in the Bakhmut region. On the Avdiivka front, occupiers are intensifying their assaults. As DeepState says, the Russians are attacking south of Pervomaisk in the Luhansk region.
Heavy battles are taking place at the Zaporizhia front, especially on the line from Orikhovo to Pavlivka. At the Svatove front, there are positional battles near Masyutivka.
The situation remains unchanged in other sections of the front.
Has Ukraine already begun a counteroffensive?
In recent days, the military leadership reported the successes of Ukrainian soldiers at the Bakhmut front. According to Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar, Ukraine's forces advanced from 200 to 1100 meters on various sections in the past day, shifting from defense to offensive actions.
However, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov said that Ukraine has not yet started a counteroffensive. He said the beginning of a large-scale operation "is not so long to wait anymore".
