Combat medics from Ukraine's Defense Intelligence (HUR) save the lives of wounded soldiers and civilians daily using helicopters.

Intelligence reports say rescue teams evacuated severely wounded HUR soldiers on four helicopters. Medical aid was provided during the flights.

"We are always ready for anything. We have all the equipment for rescue, life support, and medical aid right here in the helicopter," said a medic with the call sign Tourist.

Medics and pilots quickly evacuated the wounded, including those unable to move.

Since the start of combat operations by HUR's medical aviation unit in 2023, more than 600 lives of Security and Defense Forces soldiers have been saved.

In spring this year, Ukrainian intelligence officers received a unique Sikorsky S-76A medical evacuation helicopter as part of a charity initiative. Its value is up to $1.5 million.

RBC-Ukraine also reported that in late 2024, the Czech Republic began fundraising for a Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk combat helicopter for Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence.
