Ukraine's army chief visits Donbas, makes decisions on hot fronts
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, visited the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions, according to his Telegram.
"I worked in units and subdivisions in the Donetsk region, on the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions. The main goal was to personally communicate with the commanders directly leading the battle, address problematic issues, and provide comprehensive assistance," he said.
Syrskyi said he made all necessary decisions on the reinforcement of units with reserves, additional ammunition, weapons, and military equipment.
"We continue to hold off the enemy and inflict heavy losses on them in both personnel and equipment. I am grateful to our soldiers for their resilience and bravery in the fight against the Russian aggressor," the general added.
Frontline situation
The situation in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions remains difficult. As of November 29, more than 200 combat clashes took place on the front in one day.
Battles for Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region could start soon. The preparation of Ukrainian forces is much more advanced than before.
The situation around the city of Kurakhove could descend into the "fog of war." A similar situation was previously observed around Vuhledar and Selydove.
According to data from November 20, there was a threat of Russian forces encircling Kurakhove. By that time, the Ukrainian troops had already been in the city for weeks.
