Ukraine reveals Russia's tactics as Kremlin forces concentrate on Lyman front

Russian forces have currently concentrated their main efforts on the Lyman direction. This section of the front remains critically important for them, according to the head of the communications department of the Joint Forces Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Viktor Trehubov.
"The Lyman direction is currently the biggest point where the Russian side concentrates efforts. It remains fundamentally important for them; they really want to capture it to further develop an offensive through it directly toward the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration. That is why it is the most important for them," Trehubov said.
He emphasized that the enemy continues to use the tactics of small assault groups, constant infiltration, and the creation of additional control zones along the border.
According to the spokesperson, the Russians do not have any particular problems with resources, so they are applying pressure practically along the entire front line.
"At the same time, the enemy is suffering truly record losses. This is not a figure of speech; for example, there were 270 losses per day this week in the operational zone, most of them killed. This is a very high figure; these are numbers we have not seen before," Trehubov noted.
Situation on the front
Russian forces are trying to probe Ukrainian defenses along almost the entire line of contact. The situation remains the most difficult in five directions.
Earlier, Viktor Trehubov said that Russian forces are attempting to form a "control zone" along Ukraine's entire state border.
According to him, they are using small infantry groups for this purpose and are constantly looking for new directions to advance and penetrate Ukrainian defenses.
