Ukraine makes border impassable as Wagner arrives in Belarus
The Ukrainian military is strengthening the state border of Ukraine due to the transfer of Wagner Group mercenaries to Belarus, according to the Telegram channel of the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"We know that Wagner Group mercenaries have been arriving in Belarus recently. However, we are already reacting and creating conditions to make the state border of Ukraine completely impassable for hostile forces," stated Naiev, the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to him, in the Chernihiv region, more than 40 kilometers of anti-tank trenches have been dug in one of the directions. Additionally, more than 30,000 various types of mine traps have been set up for hostile forces.
"If they attempt to set their dirty boots on Ukrainian soil, they will face death. We will further strengthen sections of the state border with non-explosive and explosive barriers that will be unexpected for the enemy," Naiev added.
"Wagner" mercenaries are already in Belarus
After a failed coup attempt by Yevgeny Prigozhin, the founder of the Wagner Private Military Company (PMC), some of his mercenaries were promised to be relocated to Belarus.
For several weeks, there was no official confirmation of the relocation of the Wagner mercenaries. However, on July 15, border guards finally confirmed their arrival in Belarus. At the same time, the situation is under the control of the Ukrainian forces.
