Russia launched 151 drones at Ukraine on the night of February 9. Air defense forces operated in 14 regions of Ukraine, according to the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.

Russian forces launched drones from five directions in Russia — Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Bryansk, and Primorsk-Akhtarsk. The attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Forces, and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

Air defense forces destroyed 70 enemy drones. Air defense systems operated in the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Volyn, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Odesa regions.

74 drone decoys were lost without negative consequences. Two drones remained in the air.

Consequences of the drone attack

According to the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as a result of the enemy attack, Kyiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Zhytomyr, and Volyn regions were affected.

Explosions were heard in Lutsk and Odesa at night due to air defense operations.

In Kyiv region, debris fell on the construction site of a multi-story building, causing damage. Debris was also reported to have fallen on open areas.
