The Russian command was forced to withdraw expensive ships from Sevastopol as Ukraine continued to eliminate the remaining ships, according to the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain.

As stated in the report, on March 24, the Ukrainian Air Force carried out a series of strikes throughout Crimea. One of the targets was the communications center of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol. Images show that one building was structurally damaged, including partial roof collapse, while two other buildings were damaged by the explosion.

As a result of the strikes, landing and reconnaissance ships were also damaged, according to the report.

Due to these strikes, more expensive Russian vessels, which usually used Sevastopol's port infrastructure, were forced to relocate to alternative port facilities further east.

"Despite Russia's attempts to limit its losses, Ukraine continues to demonstrate success in diminishing the Black Sea Fleet's ability to project power in the region," the statement says.

Russia losing ships and admirals

Earlier, British intelligence reported that after a series of significant losses of Russian ships in the Black Sea, the commander of the Black Sea Fleet and the head of the Russian Navy were replaced.

Currently, the Russian military is looking for ways to keep the fleet in the Black Sea. They restrict ship operations and increase defense against drones.

According to British intelligence, Russian masking methods in the Black Sea are unlikely to bring results and reduce fleet losses.
