Turkish advanced combat drone takes successful maiden flight: Erdogan showcases video
The Turkish combat drone Anka III conducted its maiden flight today, December 28. It is capable of carrying missiles and bombs, according to Türkiye's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on X.
"The unmanned military aircraft Anka III, developed by TAI, successfully completed its maiden flight today. We hope that our aircraft will make a significant contribution to our country's defense thanks to its advanced technology, design, and capabilities," Erdogan wrote.
The Turkish president also released a video of the first flight of the combat drone.

Anka III
It's worth noting that Anka III is a drone with low radar visibility.
The drone lacks horizontal and vertical tails, resulting in lower visibility. Additionally, it's equipped with extra instruments that further reduce its visibility.

- Maximum speed - approximately 857 km/h;
- Cruising speed - 463 km/h;
- Payload capacity - up to 1200 kg;
- Maximum takeoff weight - 6500 kg;
- Flight endurance - 10 hours.
