Trump skeptical of Iran peace offer, says it 'won't be acceptable'

US President Donald Trump has received new proposals from Iran regarding a ceasefire between the two countries. However, without even reviewing them, the White House leader has already expressed doubts that the terms will be acceptable, according to the Clash Report.
As usual, Trump shared his thoughts on the Truth Social platform. He wrote the following:
“I will soon be reviewing the plan that Iran has just sent to us, but can't imagine that it would be acceptable, in that they have not yet paid a big enough price for what they have done to Humanity and the World, over the last 47 years. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
What preceded Trump’s statement
An Iranian official, speaking anonymously, told Reuters that Tehran had sent new terms to Trump. The main point concerns the nuclear program. Iran is proposing to postpone discussions on it “for later.”
“Under this framework, negotiations on the more complex nuclear issue are moved to the final stage in order to create a more favorable atmosphere,” the official said.
Current situation between Iran and the US
Both sides are disrupting shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. The US is blocking oil tankers and vessels heading to Iranian ports. Tehran, in turn, is also preventing other ships from passing through the strait, with rare exceptions.
The proposal sent by Iran is not the first. However, Trump has also been dissatisfied with previous terms.
At the same time, President Donald Trump recently claimed that the US has already achieved victory over Iran, while noting that the nuclear threat from Tehran still remains.
Meanwhile, amid the war with Iran, the US national debt has surpassed the size of the country’s economy for the first time since World War II.
