Melania Trump flashed an unusual look at the inauguration of her husband, who took the oath of office on January 20 and officially became the 47th President of the United States. The first lady chose an original look that is actively discussed online.

Yes, Melania chose a very restrained look. She did not prefer bright colors and stuck to dark colors.
Trump's wife appeared in front of the cameras and a large audience in a navy blue coat with a snow-white collar peeking out from under it. She complemented her look with black stiletto heels. And she could hide from camera flashes behind a stylish hat with a white ribbon.

The coat for Melania was created by designer Adam Lippes, who "dressed" Michelle Obama and Jill Biden. His brand's website does not show this particular model of outerwear. However, a similar coat, but with fewer buttons and in a different color, costs almost $4,300.

How much the trench coat that was created for Melania cost remains a mystery. Under her coat, Trump's wife wore a navy blue silk pencil skirt and an ivory blouse. These clothes were also created by the American designer Lippes.
Why Melania's outfit provoked controversy
Not everyone expected to see Trump's wife in such a restrained look. Besides, it is very rare to see women wearing hats at such events.
By the way, it was the hat that caused the network to make fun of her. The fact is that Melania seemed to have created a "safe zone" around herself because no one could get close to her face. Even when Trump wanted to kiss his wife, he couldn't reach her cheek or lips because of the hat.
