After the Coalition of the Willing meeting in Brussels on Sunday, August 17, President Zelenskyy and a delegation of European leaders traveled to the US to meet with Donald Trump.

During the meeting with the American leader, the parties will discuss options for ending the war in Ukraine and attempt to arrange a meeting between Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Zelenskyy has already arrived in Washington and has promised to secure lasting peace and compel Russia to end the war.

Ahead of the meeting, Trump announced that the US is ready to provide Ukraine with security guarantees that could help swiftly end the war.

The White House chief also stated that Zelenskyy could quickly end the war if he recognizes Crimea as Russian and abandons Ukraine’s NATO membership aspirations.
