Trump's main rival exits US presidential race
Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley will cease her participation in the electoral race. She was the main competitor of former President Donald Trump, reports CNN.
"The time has now come to suspend my campaign. I said I wanted Americans to have their voices heard. I have done that. I have no regrets," Haley said.
She did not support Trump as the Republican candidate for the US presidency.
Instead, she called on the former American leader to seek the support of the voters who supported her.
Unnamed sources told CNN that Haley left open the possibility of endorsing Trump before the presidential elections in November.
Haley withdrew from the Republican primaries, during which the party selects its candidate to participate in the general US presidential elections. She failed to defeat Donald Trump.
At the same time, Trump's opponent in the elections will be Joe Biden. He also wins in the Democratic primaries.
