US President Donald Trump's approval rating has fallen to a new low. Poll results indicate growing voter dissatisfaction with his economic policies as well as the cost of living, Financial Times reports.
According to the latest nationwide Focaldata poll, only 33% of registered voters approve of Trump's performance in office.
This is the worst result since May, when the FT first began tracking this metric.
Journalists note that the President's approval rating has fallen by another three percentage points over the past month.
Support for Trump has declined even among Republicans.
Among voters in that party, 72% of those surveyed approve of his performance—also the lowest figure in the history of the FT's poll.
One of the main reasons for the drop in his approval rating was voters' increasingly negative assessments of the economic situation and the cost of living.
Most respondents also gave negative assessments of the President's tariff and trade policies.
Another important factor is that the poll was conducted against the backdrop of the war in Iran, which Trump has so far been unable to end.
Over the past six months, the conflict has contributed to higher borrowing costs for the US, as well as higher prices for fuel and consumer goods.
In July 2026, Trump's approval rating plummeted. Nearly two-thirds of those surveyed said they disagreed with his policies.
