A few days ago, media reported that US President Donald Trump had signed an executive order suspending all foreign aid programs for 90 days. During this period, these programs will be reviewed for alignment with US political goals. As clarified by the Pentagon, the suspension does not affect military aid to Ukraine.

A few days later, on January 24, Western media reported that US Secretary of State Mark Rubio had halted the disbursement of most existing foreign aid grants for 90 days. This included certain humanitarian aid for Ukraine.

In addition, The New York Times reported that the US had suspended several immigration programs, including those for refugees from Ukraine.
