Trainer explains how to lose 10 kilos without gym membership
To lose weight and get in shape, you don't need a gym membership or fancy equipment. The trainer explained what truly helps with weight loss at home, according to Eat This, Not That!
Trainer Domenic Angelino shared tips on how to lose 10 kilograms without a gym membership.
Follow a nutritious diet
First and foremost, focus on your diet, as it plays a crucial role in weight loss.
There's no need to make your diet overly complex, technical, or overwhelming. Simply identify areas in your diet where you can replace the foods you typically consume with lower-calorie alternatives.
For example, if you enjoy making sandwiches, find ways to replace your bread with a lower-calorie option.
You can more easily lose weight with low-calorie foods by taking such small steps.
Establish effective habits
Develop productive habits that will stick and help you progress toward your goals.
According to the expert, the key for those without a gym membership is where they work out. Therefore, find a space where you can do your fitness exercises.
This could be in your home, in a nearby park, or anywhere you enjoy.
"People often make the mistake of planning to do home workouts in an area they use for leisure activities for rest," the expert noted.
Exercise three to five days a week
Aim to exercise three to five days a week. The more you train, the more calories you'll burn, leading to faster weight loss.
Allowing adequate time for rest and recovery between workouts is essential for muscle recovery and progress.
If you're new to working out, start by training three days a week and gradually increase your workout frequency over time.
Invest in affordable home workout equipment
Bodyweight exercises can be effective, but you can invest in affordable home workout equipment.
Consider purchasing inexpensive dumbbells to train your muscles. Additionally, you might consider a stationary bike or treadmill to help with cardio workouts when the weather doesn't allow outdoor exercise.
Incorporate progress into your workouts
Progress is key to losing weight. As you become fitter, your ability to perform exercises will improve. This means you'll be able to increase the intensity and duration of your workouts over time.
"Try to incorporate strategic progression into your training to take advantage of this benefit. Make small changes when possible, and everything will add up over time," the trainer concluded.
