Top Russian electronic warfare engineer killed in Bryansk car explosion

In the Russian city of Bryansk, a car belonging to a leading Russian engineer exploded. He was engaged in the modernization of electronic warfare systems, according to RBC-Ukraine's sources in the Defense Forces.
According to information from the sources, on the night of April 17 to 18, in Bryansk, the car of leading Russian engineer Yevgeny Rytikov exploded. He was the head of the design bureau of the Bryansk Electromechanical Plant – a key developer and innovator in the sector of creating advanced EW (electronic warfare) and ELINT (electronic intelligence) systems for the occupying army of the Russian Federation.
It is known that Rytikov’s car exploded when he and a colleague got into it. It is likely that the other person who also died as a result of the explosion was the deputy head of the design bureau or his assistant.
Sources in the Defense Forces note that Rytikov was responsible in particular for the modernization of the Russian EW complex Krasukha (Russian mobile, ground-based, electronic warfare).
The Krasukha EW system, which Rytikov modernized, is one of the most advanced electronic warfare stations used by the Russians. It is designed to counter onboard radars of strike, reconnaissance, and unmanned aircraft.
Death of a Russian general in the Moscow region
On Friday, April 25, Russian media reported that in Balashikha near Moscow, the car of a Russian general exploded. Killed was 59-year-old Yaroslav Moskalik – a high-ranking general from the General Staff of the Russian Federation.
Russian law enforcement officially confirmed Moskalik’s death in the Moscow region and opened a criminal case. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation stated that it classified the car explosion as a murder.
