This smoothie boosts rejuvenation and hormone balance: Simple home recipe

A fresh berry-based smoothie is an excellent source of antioxidants, fiber, and micronutrients. The drink is easy to prepare from accessible ingredients and is often used in daily nutrition to support overall well-being and energy balance, according to dietitian Halyna Senyk.
Dark berry smoothie
Ingredients:
- dark berries — 100–150 g (previously thawed)
- banana — 1/2 (to soften the sour taste of berries)
- flaxseed — 1–2 tsp
The most common dark berries include:
- Blueberries — small forest berries of dark blue color, rich in anthocyanins
- Bilberries — larger than blueberries
- Blackberries — dark purple/near black, with a rich sweet-sour taste
- Black currants — very aromatic with a sour note
- Elderberries — dark purple berries, usually consumed after heat treatment
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
Benefits of the smoothie
According to the expert, dark berries are rich in polyphenols and anthocyanins, which reduce inflammation and strengthen blood vessels and collagen fibers.
Flax lignans act as phytoestrogens and help balance female hormones. Meanwhile, omega-3 fatty acids from flax help antioxidants and water-soluble vitamins penetrate into cells.
Bananas provide quick energy due to carbohydrates, as well as potassium, which is important for muscle and nervous system function.
