Tesla started deliveries of Cybertruck and announced price: More expensive than expected
Tesla has officially started the first deliveries of the Cybertruck and announced that the price for the base model of its electric pickup will start at $60,990, according to Reuters.
Cybertruck is made of glossy stainless steel, featuring flat surfaces with minimal bends. Experts note that the new material for the Cybertruck's body and its unconventional, futuristic style have added complexity and cost to the production.
Elon Musk expressed his belief that the Cybertruck is Tesla's best product and the most unique vehicle on the road, indicating that the future of transportation will adopt a futuristic appearance.
The base model will start at $60,990, which is 50% higher than initially advertised by Musk in 2019. The all-wheel-drive version will be available for delivery in 2024 for $79,990. The most expensive version, the Cyberbeast, is expected to be sold for around $99,990 and will also be available in 2024.
