Terrorist attack in Tel Aviv: Ukrainian woman among wounded
Seven people were killed and 16 others injured in a terror attack in Tel Aviv. Among the injured is a Ukrainian national, according to Ukraine’s Ambassador to Israel, Yevhen Korniichuk.
"Unfortunately, it became known today that among the victims of the terror attack in Jaffa, which occurred yesterday before the Iranian attack, there were seven dead and 16 injured. Among the injured is a citizen with dual nationality, holding a Ukrainian passport. The police provided us with this information this morning," Korniichuk said.
According to the ambassador, a Ukrainian consul is expected to visit the injured woman today or tomorrow. Based on preliminary information, her life is not in danger.
He also said that approximately 15,000 Ukrainians remain in Israel, registered with the consulate, although the actual number is much higher.
Terrorist attacks in Israel
On October 1, an unknown gunman opened fire in the Jaffa district of Tel Aviv. Initially, reports indicated four dead and seven injured. The number of casualties later increased.
Terrorist attacks occur in Israel periodically. For instance, on November 30, 2023, a shooting took place near a bus stop at the entrance to Jerusalem, leaving eight people injured and one dead.
