Ukrainian tennis sensation Elina Svitolina secured a decisive victory over Czech player Marie Bouzkova in the quarterfinals of the Auckland Open, according to the match results.

Bouzkova – Svitolina – 0:2 (0:6, 3:6)

Svitolina dominated the first set effortlessly, leaving Bouzkova with no chance of success. The Ukrainian won six games in a row, serving Bouzkova a bagel in just 25 minutes, showcasing two aces and a remarkable 78% success rate on her first serves.

In a similar fashion, Svitolina started the second set by taking the lead. However, the 25-year-old Czech player found inner strength to challenge Svitolina. With a break, Bouzkova led 3:1 and seemed poised for a comeback.

Nevertheless, Svitolina responded calmly to the situation. She quickly countered with three consecutive points, including a break to love. Seizing control, Svitolina confidently secured the match victory, with Bouzkova failing to even score a single point.

In the semifinals, Svitolina will face Chinese player Siyu Wang on January 6. Simultaneously, the American duo of Cori Gauff and Emma Navarro will clash in another exciting match. The total prize pool for the Auckland Open exceeds $267,000.
