It's been over 30 years since the cult Christmas comedy Home Alone, starring Macaulay Culkin, was released. Among the film's standout characters is Kevin's mom, Kate McCallister, portrayed by the talented actress Catherine O'Hara.
Ukrainian stylist Olena Shevchenko shares how to recreate Kevin's mom's look.
"I decided to recreate Kevin's mom's look from Home Alone for a size 56! Her outfit appeared in only one shot, but I caught every detail: cream trousers, brown boots, a green scarf, a sweater, massive gold earrings, and a luxurious beige coat," said Shevchenko.

The stylist used cream-colored flared trousers with a high waistline to recreate this look. She paired them with a green turtleneck sweater.

Shevchenko also complemented the outfit with brown "cowboy" boots, massive gold earrings, and a light-green scarf.
The look was completed with a luxurious beige coat.

What we know about Kevin's mom
Kevin's mom, Kate McCallister, is one of the central characters in the famous Christmas movie Home Alone (1990). In this film, Kate, played by Catherine O'Hara, is a caring and loving mother who also faces real challenges.
Kate is a woman dealing with the stress of preparing for the Christmas holidays and managing a large family. In the film, there is a scene where she tries to organize the house before the trip to Paris, and at some point, she accidentally leaves her son Kevin behind (who then ends up home alone while the rest of the family departs). This event serves as the main turning point of the film, where Kevin remains home to confront the burglars.
