Not sure what to surprise your guests with on New Year's? Prepare a tipsy dessert with grapes! It's not just a tasty and intriguing dish but also a traditional treat in Spain and Mexico. There, it is believed that at midnight, you should manage to eat 12 grapes so that each month of the upcoming year will be happy.

Here's how to prepare tipsy grapes, according to Shuba.

For preparing you need:

  • 1 kg green grapes

  • 750 ml Prosecco sparkling wine

  • 120 ml vodka

  • 1/2 cup sugar

Let's start the preparation. First, separate the grapes from the stems and wash them thoroughly. Then, make the "infusion." Mix vodka with Prosecco, and then pour this mixture over the grapes. Allow the future dessert to infuse. Let the grapes "rest" in the refrigerator for at least three hours.

Next, pour the vodka and Prosecco into another container. Drain the grapes on a sieve and pat them dry with paper towels. Afterward, transfer them to a deep bowl and sprinkle them with sugar.

Carefully mix, ensuring that each grape receives its portion of sugar. Then, place the bowl with the future dessert in the refrigerator. The grapes should "settle" for 3-8 hours.
