Simple habits to help you live healthy and happy life

Many people set overly ambitious goals that require drastic lifestyle changes, which leads to breakdowns. It is worth starting life changes with simple habits that will improve health and make people happy, states Huffpost.
Make your bed in the morning
Therapist Emma Mahoney said that making your bed every morning is a simple microhabit that takes only a minute or two but is one of the best behaviors to adopt.
"It also means the day has begun and you're going to get back to a more comfortable bed later that day," she said.
Journal one thing you are grateful for every day
A quick gratitude practice can be the key to feeling more fulfilled and joyful.
It's worth writing down one thing you're grateful for every morning when you wake up or every night before you go to bed.
This microhabit can take just one or two minutes every day.
Gratitude practice trains your brain to focus on the positive. It releases serotonin, which gives us that wonderful feeling of contentment and security.
Do a quick stretch every hour
Anyone who has a sedentary job knows how easy it is to stay in a chair for hours on end. Making it a point to do a quick stretch once an hour is a great way to not only show your body some love but also to improve circulation and prevent stagnation throughout the day.
It can be a quick 10-second stretch where you lean forward to touch your toes or gently stretch your wrists. There is no wrong way to do stretching, and you will feel better after any movement.
In the morning, get some fresh air
Breathing fresh air during the first hour when you wake up can have great benefits for the body.
This could mean going for a walk to get a coffee, or simply opening the door and getting some fresh air.
If you can't get outside right away, then just make it a point to get out at some point during the day.
Spend time without your phone
At first, you should develop the habit of putting your phone away while eating or watching your favorite show. This increases attentiveness.
Drink more water
Drinking water has many benefits for your physical health, including lubricating your joints, helping to eliminate toxins from your body, and allowing your organs to function properly.
Drinking more water is always a good goal, but it can be hard to achieve.
Read a page of a book every night before going to bed
You don't have to read an entire book or even a full chapter to experience the calming benefits of reading. A single page may be enough.
It is worth setting a goal to read one page of a book, or even a magazine or letter before going to bed.
When deciding which microhabits work best for you, you have to be honest with yourself. Ask yourself what you're capable of and what habits you can actually stick to.
