A shooting occurred near Rihanna’s house in Beverly Hills. An unknown woman opened fire at the singer’s mansion from a car.
At the time of the incident, the artist was inside the house. RBC-Ukraine reports on where the bullets hit and whether the woman who shot at Rihanna’s mansion was arrested.
How the shooting happened
On March 8, police received a report of gunfire at approximately 1:15 p.m. local time. According to law enforcement, the suspect is a woman around 30 years old who stopped near the singer’s house and opened fire.
She fired between seven and ten shots before quickly leaving the scene. Police found shell casings from an assault rifle at the site.
According to the Los Angeles Times, citing a police source, at least one bullet pierced the wall of the mansion. Despite the shooting, no one was injured. Media reports confirm that Rihanna was at home during the incident.
"Our law enforcement sources tell us the singer was home at the time of the shooting, but is okay. It's unclear whether A$AP Rocky and their children -- RZA, Riot Rose, and Rocki -- were at the home at the time," TMZ reported.
How the suspect was caught
After the shooting, the woman fled the scene. Police tracked her car and stopped it in a parking lot in the Sherman Oaks area, approximately 12 kilometers from the singer’s home.
The suspect was arrested, but her name has not yet been released. Authorities are currently trying to determine the motive behind the shooting.
