Russia strikes shopping mall in central Kyiv

In the night of August 28, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Kyiv using drones, as well as cruise and ballistic missiles, according to the mayor of the capital, Vitali Klitschko.

"In the city center, a shopping mall was struck," Klitschko wrote.
Attack on Kyiv
In the early hours of Thursday, August 28, Kyiv suffered one of the largest Russian strikes to date. The most severe destruction was recorded on the city’s Left Bank, Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported.
In the Darnytskyi district, at least six sites were damaged, including 5- and 16-story residential buildings with serious destruction. Rescue operations are ongoing. A private house and a kindergarten were also hit.
In the Dnipro district, a 25-story residential building was damaged, cars in courtyards were destroyed, and a fire broke out in an office building. According to the mayor, more reports of damage in this district continue to come in.
In the Solomianskyi district, a private residential house was destroyed.
In the Shevchenkivskyi district, at least three sites were damaged, including an office building.
So far, three people have been confirmed dead, including a child, and 18 others have been injured.
