Shahed drones hit Kyiv: Damage reported in 3 districts, full details

On the night of July 7, Kyiv was again under Russian attack. According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties, but some damage occurred, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
On the night of Monday, July 7, the air raid alert was sounded twice in Kyiv. The first instance of danger was recorded from 01:37 am (Kyiv time) to 02:15, and the second instance was from 7:48 am.
The consequences of this attack were recorded in several districts of the capital. The biggest damage was the disconnection of hot water in 500 buildings.
Situation in the districts, according to Klitschko
In the Desnianskyi district of Kyiv, the facade of an administrative building, a gas pipe, and an empty tank were damaged by the fall of drone fragments. The fire caused by the wreckage was quickly extinguished. Fortunately, there were no injuries.
"The falling wreckage of the UAV also caused a car to catch fire, and the fire was extinguished. The blast wave damaged the glazing of a non-residential building and nearby cars," Klitschko wrote.
In the Solomianskyi district, the wreckage of the downed UAV fell on a car wash. A car and a water supply pipe were damaged. There was no fire, and preliminary reports indicate no casualties.
In the Holosiivskyi district, UAV debris damaged windows in an office building. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.
"A large-diameter heating main was also damaged as a result of the UAV debris. Utilities are already working to eliminate the accident. About 500 buildings were left without hot water supply," the statement said.
Among those disconnected are both residential buildings and social institutions, including schools, medical facilities, and departmental facilities. Window structures at one of the power facilities were also damaged.
On the night of July 7, 2025, the Russians dropped explosives from a drone near Beryslav, killing a person. A pre-trial investigation into the tragedy has been launched under the article of war crimes.
