Satellite images show aftermath of California wildfires
Large-scale fires have engulfed California, United States. The flames have already reached the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles. The relevant images from the Maxar satellite were posted by X users.
The published images show that the fire has caused large damage to nature, as well as urban sites.
One of the images shows that the flames destroyed several streets in Altadena, Los Angeles County, California.
Other images show the fire destroying homes and businesses along East Altadena Drive.
The coastline also shows burned forests and smoke from the fires.
Wildfires in California
On January 8, California declared a state of emergency due to massive wildfires engulfing homes in the suburbs of Los Angeles. Over 30,000 people have been ordered to evacuate from the upscale Pacific Palisades neighborhood, popular among Hollywood stars.
Due to the emergency, US President Joe Biden has canceled his visit to Italy.
