Situation in Kherson and region
Last fall, Ukrainian defenders launched a successful counteroffensive in the south of our country. The Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to liberate the right-bank part of the Kherson region from the Russian occupation forces.
In particular, Kherson returned to Ukrainian control. This was one of the regional centers occupied by the Russians in February-March 2022.
Currently, Kherson and the region are under constant Russian shelling. The occupiers attack residential areas with heavy weapons and drones.
Thus, on the evening of January 13, Russian terrorists attacked Kherson once again. A residential building caught fire as a result of a shell hit, but firefighters quickly arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire.
Also recently, Russian troops attacked an ambulance station in Stanislav, Kherson region.
