Russians target civilian infrastructure in Ivano-Frankivsk during drone attack
In Ivano-Frankivsk, where air defense operations took place overnight due to Russian attack using kamikaze drones, there are no reported casualties. The target of the attack was civilian infrastructure. according to the Mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk Ruslan Martsinkiv.
In a video address, the mayor stated that air defense forces were actively engaged that night and expressed gratitude to the defenders of the sky for repelling the Shahed attack.
"The most important thing is that people are unharmed. We see that the enemy is striking across Ukraine; their aim is civilian infrastructure," he said.
The mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk also thanked the employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
"I thank the emergency responders and everyone who participated. We are grateful to God and our defenders and will continue to support the military," the city mayor stated.
He did not provide further details regarding the enemy air attack.
Nighttime Shahed attack
Recall that on the evening of September 25, Russian troops launched strike drones of the Shahed type at Ukraine. Due to the threat of drone attacks, air raid alerts were declared in several regions.
Additionally, around midnight, reports emerged of air defense operations in the Kyiv region. An air raid alert was also declared in Kyiv due to the threat of kamikaze drones, and a series of explosions were heard in the capital as air defense systems were engaged.
Reports also indicated explosions in the Khmelnytskyi region, and before that, military sources informed of Shahed movements toward Starokostiantyniv.
Furthermore, there were reports of air defense activities in response to a drone attack on Ivano-Frankivsk, where explosions were heard.
