Russians strike two energy facilities in Lviv region with Kinzhal missiles
On the night of May 8, Russia fired missiles at the Lviv region and attacked energy facilities, according to the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi.
According to him, at about 5 a.m., the Russian occupiers hit a power generation facility in the Chervonohrad district with cruise missiles. A fire broke out there, there were two fire centers. Firefighters are working at the site of the hit, and special equipment has been engaged.
According to the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, there is no threat to people living nearby.
Russia also attacked a critical energy infrastructure facility in the Stryi district.
In addition, during the air alert, Russian occupiers attacked the Lviv region with Kinzhal ballistic missiles. Critical and residential infrastructure was not affected.
Kozytskyi added that as of 8:20 a.m., there were no casualties or injuries in the Lviv region as a result of the night attack. All life support systems are operating normally.
Russian night attack on Ukraine
On the night of May 8, Russia once again attacked Ukraine, firing 55 missiles of various types and 21 attack drones. Air defense forces destroyed 59 air targets, including 20 Shaheds and 39 missiles.
Today, the Russian occupiers again targeted the Ukrainian energy sector. Russia attacked energy facilities in Poltava, Kirovohrad, Zaporizhzhia, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Vinnytsia regions. In addition, the Russians again shelled three thermal power plants in Ukraine, damaging the equipment of the plants.
