Russian military in Sevastopol Bay are deploying additional barges to protect against Ukrainian naval drones, as seen in satellite imagery, according to the monitoring group Crimean Wind.

According to the monitoring group, the first two barges were sunk there from April 5 to 10. Thus, the Russian Black Sea Fleet is attempting to protect the remaining vessels.

The report also reminds that all carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles and other significant ships of the Black Sea Fleet have been transferred to the naval base in Novorossiysk, noting that Ukrainian naval drones have been reaching there as well.

Russian forces have been using this tactic on a regular basis since the beginning of the war against Ukraine in 2014. Moreover, after intensified strikes by Ukrainian drones on Black Sea Fleet ships during Russia's full-scale aggression.
