Russians execute four Ukrainian prisoners of war in Vovchansk
In the summer, the Russian military executed four Ukrainian soldiers in Vovchansk. They did so on the orders of their command on the territory of an industrial plant, reports the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
Prosecutors have launched a pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war related to the deliberate murder of four prisoners of war - servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who were executed by the Russian military on the orders of the command in the summer of 2024 on the territory of the aggregate plant in Vovchansk.
“These facts are being documented thanks to cooperation with the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine,” said Oleksandr Filchakov, head of the regional prosecutor's office.
The reason for the investigation was the interrogation of Russian prisoners of war, during which they testified to the commission of the crime.
Most massive execution of prisoners
A video was recently posted online showing Russian militants shooting 16 Ukrainian prisoners of war at once.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, this atrocity took place in the Pokrovsk direction. Prosecutor General Andrii Kostin noted that this is the most massive execution since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
