Russians' drone attack at night: How many Shaheds downed
Russian occupants launched an air attack using kamikaze drones on the territory of Ukraine on the night of December 24. The enemy launched 16 Shaheds, almost all of which were shot down by the Defense Forces, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"At night, the Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine once again, using 16 Shahed-136/131 UAVs," the command said in a morning report.
The military said that 15 of the 16 enemy attack drones were destroyed by the Ukrainian air defense forces and means.
Russian attacks by Shaheds
Russian invaders regularly use Shahed kamikaze drones in attempts to strike Ukrainian settlements.
For example, after midnight, the Khmelnytsky Military Administration reported the operation of air defense systems due to enemy attack UAVs that were spotted in the region. In addition, on the evening of December 23, explosions were heard in Zaporizhzhia. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that enemy drones were moving toward the region.
Also on Saturday, the Russians used 9 kamikaze drones to strike the Dnipropetrovsk region and fired about a dozen artillery shells.
