Russians plan to seize TV equipment for refusal to watch 'Russian world' - National Resistance Center of Ukraine
Residents of temporarily occupied territories who refuse to watch Russian propaganda channels are being threatened with the confiscation of their television equipment, according to the National Resistance Center of Ukraine (NRC).
According to the NRC, Russians are enforcing their television channels to enhance the effectiveness of their propaganda. They are distributing satellite television equipment for the "Russian world," which includes about twenty Kremlin-backed channels.
"However, the local population is in no hurry to take home such gifts, as they do not want to fall into the trap of enemy propaganda. Therefore, the Russians began to threaten to confiscate “unlicensed television equipment” from those who refuse to install the 'Russian world,'" the NRC says.
Situation in occupied territories
Recently, it was reported that Russians are forcing residents of temporarily occupied areas in the Kherson region to visit a propaganda exhibition titled "Russia – my history."
Additionally, the Russian army has found a new method for recruiting mobilized men from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
Furthermore, Russian forces are issuing school uniforms to children only upon presentation of a Russian passport.
