Russians have started attacking Ukrainian positions in the Tavria direction with chemical grenades again, according to the commander of the Tavria Operational and Strategic Group of Troops, Oleksandr Tarnavskyi.

Use of chemical grenades

In particular, he says, in the Zaporizhzhia sector and the Donetsk region, Russians have resumed the use of toxic substances.

"A total of four grenade attacks with a chemical agent of tear and suffocation effect were registered," he says.

Situation at frontlines

In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy is again attempting to attack with small assault groups. Ukrainian troops repelled nine attacks near Lastochkine, Severne, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske.

In the Maryinka direction, we continue to hold back the aggressor near Heorhiivka, Pobeda, and Novomykhailivka, where we repelled 21 attacks.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Russians tried to attack once near Staromaiorske.

There were no significant changes in the Zaporizhzhia direction either - the Defense Forces repelled 11 attacks near Malynivka and Robotyne.

In general, Tarnavskyi notes, the situation remains under control, Ukrainian soldiers are holding the line and are actively destroying the enemy.

Russian losses in Tavria direction

Thus, the total losses of the Russians over the past day amounted to 644 troops, and 47 units in weapons and military equipment, not including UAVs. In particular, these include 2 tanks, 29 armored personnel carriers, 8 artillery systems, and 8 vehicles. 272 UAVs of various types were neutralized or destroyed.

"The Ukrainian Defense Forces also destroyed 2 ammunition depots, 1 fuel and lubricants depot, and 1 other important enemy object," the general states.

In particular, as Tarnavskyi notes, the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovskyi, which is defending Ukraine in the Tavria direction, recently destroyed up to a company of Russian marines, 3 tanks, 5 BMP-3/BMD-4, and the same number of MTLB tractors.

For comparison, the total losses of the Russian Federation in the war amounted to 1,230 occupants per day, and the total number of Russian army losses since the beginning of the invasion was 404,950. In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down two aircraft.
