The state-awarded hero of Russia, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Navy Mikhail Gudkov, was killed in the Kursk region, according to the Astra Telegram channel and the Russian Defense Ministry.

At first, several propaganda Telegram channels reported about Gudkov's liquidation, but later this information was confirmed by the governor of Primorsky Krai, Oleg Kozhemyako.

Currently, the details of the death are not disclosed, but his loyal comrade Nariman Shikhaliyev also died with him.

About Gudkov

According to Kozhemyako, Gudkov is a former commander of the 155th Separate Guards Marine Brigade of the Pacific Fleet. In March 2025, he was promoted to the position of Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy with the rank of Major General.

Among other things, the liquidated officer has the title of hero of Russia and has been awarded state decorations.

Russian Defense Ministry confirms

The Russian Ministry of Defense has also confirmed the information about Gudkov's liquidation. According to the ministry, he was killed during combat operations in one of the border districts of the Kursk region.
