Another foreign mercenary fighting for Russia — a citizen of Kenya — was eliminated in the Donetsk region during the assault, according to Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence (HUR).

“On one of the positions of the Russian occupation forces, military intelligence officers discovered the body of Clinton Nyapara Mogesa, a citizen of the Republic of Kenya, born in 1997,” HUR said.

The Kenyan national had lived and worked in Qatar before signing a contract with the Russian armed forces and being deployed to one of the occupiers’ assault units.

After only brief training, Mogesa was killed during a “meat assault” in the Donetsk region.

According to HUR, Russian forces did not evacuate his body, and his family received neither compensation nor any explanation from the Russian side.

Intelligence officers also found passports belonging to two other Kenyan citizens on the eliminated mercenary — likely fellow recruits whom Russia is preparing to send into future assaults.

“Clinton Mogesa could have continued living and working in safe and prosperous Qatar. Instead, he became yet another example proving that for the Russian army, foreigners are merely disposable resources doomed to die,” Ukrainian intelligence emphasized.

HUR warned foreign nationals against traveling to Russia or engaging in any form of employment there, particularly illegal employment.

“A trip to Russia is a real risk of ending up in an assault unit without training and with no chance of survival,” the intelligence agency said.

Russia’s use of foreign mercenaries

Earlier, Ukraine reported that a foreign mercenary from the Philippines fighting for Russian occupation forces was eliminated in the Donetsk region.

Recently, soldiers of Ukraine’s 425th Separate Assault Regiment Skala captured two Colombian nationals in Pokrovsk who had been fighting on Russia’s side.

Previously, a delegation of Russia’s regime visited North Korea to negotiate the recruitment of additional North Korean mercenaries for the war against Ukraine. According to preliminary data, Moscow expects to receive both combat troops and sappers from the regime of Kim Jong Un.

Ukrainian intelligence has also released further evidence of war crimes committed by Russian forces. In an intercepted call, a commander of Colombian mercenaries fighting for Russia orders fire to be opened on Ukrainian civilians, including women and children.

It was also previously reported that South African citizens were deceived into joining the Russian army and taking part in combat operations against Ukraine. Foreigners were forced to work in trenches in freezing conditions, left without water and proper food for extended periods, and compelled to hide from drone attacks.
