On the night of June 17, Tu-95 bombers took off in Russia. They were launched from the Olenya airfield, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

"Activity of two Tu-95MS aircraft from Olenya airfield (Murmansk region) was recorded," the Air Force reported.

The military clarified that the aircraft are heading southeast.

The Air Force promised to provide additional updates in case of a missile threat or the launch of cruise missiles.

Drone attack

In the evening of June 16, Russian forces launched Shahed kamikaze drones at Ukraine.

Explosions were reported in Kyiv, including the confirmed crash of a drone in the Solomianskyi district.

In the Sviatoshynskyi district, a car caught fire as a result of the attack.
