The Kostiantynivka community continues to suffer from deliberate attacks by Russian forces, who are using drones to hunt civilians and are carrying out strikes even during evacuation missions, according to a post by the head of the Kostiantynivka City Military Administration, Serhii Horbunov, on Facebook.

The city of Kostiantynivka in Ukraine’s Donetsk region is coming under daily, intense attacks, with Russian forces using FPV strike drones to target civilians in residential areas. The attacks pose a serious threat to ordinary residents and volunteers involved in evacuating people from dangerous zones.

Deliberate attacks on civilians

According to the Kostiantynivka City Military Administration, one person was killed in a drone strike, while two others sustained injuries of varying severity.

The wounded were quickly transported to a hospital in Druzhkivka, where they are receiving medical treatment. At the time of the attack, they were taking part in an evacuation mission, helping to save their neighbors.

Strikes on evacuation transport

Enemy fire also hit a civilian car belonging to the volunteer group “Kramatorsk Volunteers Association,” which had been evacuating residents from high-risk areas daily. No damage to residential buildings was reported.

No safe places left

Law enforcement agencies continue to document crimes committed by Russia. The Kostiantynivka City Military Administration warns that there are no longer any safe places in the community, as Russian forces are deliberately targeting civilian vehicles and pedestrians. Authorities stress that evacuation to safer regions remains the most effective way to protect lives.

Earlier reports also noted that amid heavy equipment losses, Russian forces have resorted to unconventional tactics, including the use of horses during assault movements, attempts that Ukrainian troops say are swiftly stopped using drones.

Separately, it was reported that Russian forces forcibly removed civilians from the village of Hrabivske in the Sumy region to Russian territory. About 50 residents were reportedly unlawfully detained, held without communication or proper conditions, and then deported from Ukraine, actions regarded as a grave violation of international humanitarian law.
