The Russian FSB claimed that the suspects involved in the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall near Moscow allegedly wanted to escape to Ukraine. This was denied by the Ukrainian Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR), according to the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Andrii Yusov, in a comment to RBC-Ukraine.

"This statement and this information, of course, are nonsense. These FSB statements are aimed either at blatantly ignorant individuals or at the indoctrinated Russian population. To imagine that after more than two years of full-scale invasion, terrorists would head for border regions that are currently heavily saturated with law enforcement, intelligence agencies, and military personnel, I think comments here are unnecessary," he said.

A GUR representative emphasized that the FSB's accusations are "lies and attempts to pin the Ukrainian trace on the part of the Russian regime, which they have been doing since the first moments this attack occurred."

Yusov added that GUR refrains from commenting on the involvement of ISIS or other terrorist groups in the attack near Moscow.

FSB Statement

Representatives of the Russian Federal Security Service claimed that the attack at Crocus City Hall was allegedly meticulously planned. Furthermore, law enforcement officers claimed to have allegedly detained four terrorists involved.

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation alleges that the perpetrators allegedly had contacts in Ukraine and were planning to cross the border.

It is worth adding that today Russians accused citizens of Tajikistan of committing the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall in the Moscow region. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan notes that it has not received official information from Moscow.
