Russian assault thwarted in Donetsk region: Ukrainian brigades eliminate enemy equipment

The Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled a large-scale assault by Russian troops in the Donetsk region. As a result of the battles, several units of enemy equipment were destroyed, according to the Khortytsia operational-strategic group.
A large-scale assault took place in the Donetsk region by Russian troops, which was successfully repelled through the joint efforts of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The operation involved fighters of the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade "Kholodnyi Yar", the 5th Separate Assault Kyiv Brigade, and pilots of the "Phoenix" brigade, who successfully conducted combat operations in support of ground troops.
Thanks to the coordinated work of the defense forces, the enemy suffered significant losses.
In particular, three units of enemy equipment – MT-LB – were destroyed, and one tractor was hit.
In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to disable two enemy tanks and a VT-55A recovery and evacuation tractor, which significantly weakened the enemy’s combat capability.
Situation on the front
Let us recall that the most threatening situation on the northern border of Ukraine remains in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The Russians are trying to advance deeper into the territory and create a so-called "gray zone."
Andriy Demchenko, spokesman of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, emphasized that the most threatening situation remains within the Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
If we speak about the Kharkiv region, these are the directions where the enemy began offensive actions as early as last year – Vovchansk and Lyptsi.
