Russian armored vehicles sunk in failed Oskil River crossing near Kupiansk

On the Kupiansk front, the enemy attempted to ford the Oskil River using armored vehicles but suffered an unexpected failure, according to the Khortytsia operational-strategic group.
According to military sources, Russian infantry attacks were successfully repelled near Bohuslavka and Zahryzovy. In addition, the enemy continues its attempts to move forces onto the western bank of the Oskil River.
“Recently, the occupiers tried to cross this body of water in the area of Matyusivka, but their armored vehicle – an BMP-2 with its crew – sank,” OSUV “Khortytsia” reported.
Situation on the Kupiansk front
As Andriy Demchenko, the spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service, noted, Russian troops have intensified their attacks on the Kupiansk front. Nevertheless, Ukrainian forces are detecting the enemy even as they approach the frontline positions.
“Over the past period, we have observed enemy activity on the Kupiansk front, where the enemy is attempting to carry out assault actions against our positions,” the spokesperson said.
Meanwhile, according to the Institute for the Study of War, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have recently advanced near Kupiansk.
A few days ago, we reported that the Russian army had intensified assaults on the Kupiansk front. Specifically, the Russians once again tried to ford the Oskil River but were unsuccessful.
